Jeff has a heart for creatively leading people into the presence of the Lord using a variety of styles and forms that reflect the diversity of the church. He also enjoys teaching and preaching God's Word to edify and build up the Body of Christ.
Jeff was born and raised in Sterling, Virginia, just outside of Washington DC. He grew up being a part of Bible-believing churches and received a solid foundation for his faith being a part of AWANA as a kid. He studied Music Industry at James Madison University and graduated in 2008. Jeff felt God calling him to be a worship leader during his senior year at JMU and after completing a Summer internship at Potomac Baptist Church (Jeff's home church at the time) he began working there in full-time ministry after graduating. In September of 2008, Jeff married his childhood friend, Chelsea, and now they have three fun and energetic boys - Jadon, Isaac, and Eli. In 2012, Jeff earned his M.A. in Worship Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and was ordained as a pastor at Potomac Baptist that same year. After 10 years of ministry at PBC, Jeff and Chelsea took a leap of faith and followed the Lord's leading to uproot their family from their home in Sterling and come be a part of EMC in August of 2017.
When he's not singing or playing any number of various instruments, Jeff enjoys playing basketball, tennis, and golf, watching sports (especially his hometown Redskins, Nationals, and Wizards), playing board games with friends, cooking fantastic gourmet meals, going for bike rides, and relaxing on the front porch with Chelsea and the boys to enjoy the North Carolina sunset.
